my passenger side does the same, 2-3 bars don't seem to be working which isn't an issue in itself as the rest clears fine

The approved warranty should cover it as it’s essentually extending the cars 3 year manufacturers warranty. However if you’ve got any stone chips on the area then JLR may say it’s damaged the screen therefore it’s not covered. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Seem to remember that if you take off the scuttle panel there are 2 connectors, one for each side of the screen. May just want a remove, clean and put back. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

there is a small chip/crack on the passenger side about 5mm but its outside the elements so wont have effect on them. But I wouldn't put it past them to try and wriggle out of it
Seem to remember that if you take off the scuttle panel there are 2 connectors, one for each side of the screen. May just want a remove, clean and put back.
which bit do you mean by the scuttle panel and how is it removed please Yorky? |

Not done it myself yet but mine was removed for access to a EGR valve change. I guess it will be a few minutes only. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

If the screen is part clearing on both sides then it won't be the connectors under the scuttle, as has been mentioned before the filaments in the screen are beginning to fail. The only solution is to have the screen replaced or live with what you have |
