Factory fit Bi-Xenon reflector burnt out

Hello,

I have a 2010my with almost 200 000km on the clock.
Running good but had a note on the local equivelent to MOT where they suggest the headlights are a bit dim and will probably need to be replaced before next years test.
I can agree low beam is a bit poor but full beam is good. However the H7 full beam additional light is probably making up most of that.....

So thought I change bulbs and clean the lens for the xenon projector.
lens was a bit misty and easy to clean but to my dissapointment when I had the headlight apart I see that the reflector is completely burnt out (brown black) and no mirror finish left.

A new pair of headlights will cost well over 1000£ so looking for options.

I have found this, seems like a chinese conversion kit but looks like it may fit, anyone got experience of this? looking at the price I could afford to replace it once a year (takes 45min to demount/mount both sides and assemble it again so no big deal on that)
But if it needs a lot of rework to fit than I might want soemthing else.

Other suggestions of repairs are welcomed.

Cheers

For that price it doesn't hurt to try....
But, if you are up for a DIY, use google translate on this link, for installing/adapting HIDs from Skoda Superb: https://www.drive2.ru/l/3636514/
Or you can jump to Gen.3, if you don't have adaptives, with this: https://www.galogenu.net/catalog/komplekty..._hella_3r/

A second hand LHD in sweden have about the same mileage as mine and scrappers want 350-750£ each so not an alternative Smile

Interesting with the repair kit, it looks very similair to the china kit on e-Bay
Reading more to it, seems the projector unit is a Hella 3R unit, so googled it and found... this Smile

and this

I guess for the lens and shutter motor I could use the original and use take the new housing.
But first i will take som measurments and make sure I am on the right track with this Smile

Cheers a lot
