United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e S Manual Santorini Black
Advice please

Hi
I have recently bought a beautiful TD e S, base model but 💕.
I am wanting to fit front fogs - can anyone tell me if the bumper has pre- cut pop outs?
It is not clear from looking at the front bumper - colour coded. Will I need bezels? Can these be bought ready painted ?
Where is best to buy fog and dlr combined?
Grateful for any advice!! Thanks in advance
Kevin

bumper needs modifying, then lamp plinths need installing, the lamp unit *, finally colour toned bezels.
wiring loom ......... and most especially steering stalk will need changing.

I will try to look out some photos.

If I was you I would go for a replacement / resprayed bumper that already has fogs in.

* PowerFul do a fog/DLR Lamp Unit. I think it the same as a Fiat 500 ??

I had fogs to start with, then added Driving Lamps. Also changed headlamp units with DLRs

if your going to go through the hassle of a new bumper with fog lights you may as well get a facelift (2010 >) bumper

Direct swap and plenty on ebay.

RogB agree.

although the facelift bumper can NOT accommodate the auxiliary driving lamps ....... should the OP require them ??
very few vehicles have them fitted, they do make a difference to night time driving and ....... for many on these threads ...... they look good Cool

they only made the pods for the pre facelift didn't they? an expensive accessory IIRC if you paid full price for them.

I had them on my FL1 and they were brilliant

that's right pre-facelift only.

The pods on your FL1 used Cibie lamps.

I too had them on my FL1 Td4 ....... but had to fit the V6 bumper to get the dual twin pods.

Back to the OP ...

Here is a good photo of the cut-out and lamp plinth required to the bumper....

then a 'second hand' plinth with standard fog lamp which needs plastic welding to the bumper.
