Land Rover buyers changed. These days the typical LR buyer wants a car for the school run, not a 4x4. They're more interested in whether it has heated seats and a dvd player than how it performs off road Shopping in the rain is more for them - that kind of ad would scare them! |

Couldnt have said it better myself Its a shame really one thing I'll miss from about the freelander one is the exterior accessoires as the freelander 2 is SH*T in that dept! No lamp guards, No a frame bar, No driving lamp pods available, No mudflaps..... I could go on..... Guess we have the ex Audi/BMW drivers to thank for that as all they want is luxury Just kidding guys MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

I'm not one for exterior accessories, I have to admit, but I'd happily trade the heated electric seats, 500-speaker stereo, etc, for a low box and a bit more underbody protection.

There's plenty of tie down points in the 1! Thats a shame that they have removed them. Im thinking of getting a conversion. I just feel that standard looking the cars are very bland and they all look the same now. As I stated before the exterior accessoires are a let down. I would have loved to have gone down the expedition look however MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

You could go down that route if you changed your order to a model without a body kit. |

In all honesty the body kit won me over I was actually waiting for the replacement 2015/2016 model. If it was not for the Dynamic I would have never placed an order for one. It looks bare without the kit and the rear bumper looks incomplete if you have two parked up together. Land Rover classify rubber mats as an accessory come on thats a necassity MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

IMO body kits for Land Rovers should be banned. I can see why LR do it, just not for me.

Very slightly off topic but my 2012 has 4 tie downs similar to the FL1. Factory fitted they are mounted on the bottom of the boot side trim. |

You could still make that advert today in Africa but it would have a Toyota pickup coming out of the back of the truck.
