I am sure the day will haunt him for the rest of his life. I personally think what happen was a dreadful accident that could/should have been avoided.

I don't think you can read too much in the the car been made using 4 cars, but the fact he had different brakes and sizes is irresponsible

He has had the greatest penalty imaginable due to his actions and decision to drive, the loss of his young family, but saying that the law must still judge him the same, and if a custodial sentence is issued he will have to live with it

My thought still go out to him and his family, either way Neutral Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey

What a tragic case, seems the guy somohow let his enthusiasm for all things 4X4 overcome his instinct to look after his family. As NP says the law has to deal with it but there can be no bigger price to pay than the loss of the children.

Its a stark reminder of keeping things in perspective. I was delivering some driver training earlier this week, one of my delegates made a comment about being more conscious of some aspects of his driving when he had his young kids in the car. We talked this through for a while and got to further consideration which was this; even when the kids aren't the car with you they're still their dad and you need to drive to stay alive to look after them. Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!
Company cars ... a thing of the past - May 2013.
