Thought this might raise a few smiles. whilst we were on holiday my Son had a problem with his 2007 XS. Engine management light on. He decided he would drop it at the local main dealers for a diagnostic report. they sent him an email saying it needed over £4000 worth of work for various oil leaks, a service and new brake pads all round. OK the brake pads are due to be replaced but the report that stated that a service, (which it had last December) a new oil separator and various small oil leak repaired (the car leaves no drips on the road when left) In their words " May cure the EML issue" is total crap.

I collected the car from them today having paid the £99 diagnostic fee. I asked to talk to someone about the diagnosis but the master technician was not available at the time As soon as I got home, I connected my code reader and it confirmed one inactive DTC of P0299 (low turbo boost pressure) I erased the DTC and the cars happy as Larry. A set of Pads from euro parts for £70 and the cars fine.
