Thinking of beating the Winter rush and get a new battery now rather than just grind to a halt be it the this winter or next.

Anyone got any thoughts ? Be it deals, suppliers or am I being too fussy (car MY13 will sit out not being used for one month this Winter). FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

A brand new Varta F21 showed up in the post today. Ebay cost $400AUD delivered. Looks like the one that is in the car currently (get it??) except the one in the car has Land Rover stickers all over it. I am the second owner of this car and, if it is the original battery MY11, am best pleased.

Looks like you can get one for less than 140 pounds over your way.

Stop Start type but as Tayna do a direct replacement Varta and if you first sign up for newsletters you can get a 10% discount code (so they tell me).  FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Can't beat them on price or service.
I was looking on there the other day to check what battery should be on my car as I've a 80A 800 fitted. Stop start that had loads of additional electrical gear on it.

Not really looked in depth Dave yet but I suspect if you take out the air cleaner unit the front of the battery box may just spilt off with un-clipping some lugs and you semi slide it in and out (I hope or its down the gym for a weeks ). FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

It looks a bit of a beast (the battery that is) also just about to order the Varta AH52-10655-AA 800AMPS SAE 80Ah from Tayna for the now 8 year old FL2.

Yes I did notice it, there is another seller with a similar photo too, but for the extra cost from Tayna I thought I would prefer a warranty.
