Australia 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Sumatra Black
[Wanted] FOUND: VPLFE002 Audio connectivity module. Delete?

FOUND and PURCHASED.

Hi,

If anyone has one of these in working condition, I would be interested in purchasing it. I'm tired of having no USB music.

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

You can buy a bluetooth receiver about the size of a pen drive with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor. Plugs into the aux socket between the seats and powers off the 12v socket next to the aux socket. You just have to switch it on every time you want to connect. Cost about £5 off ebay.

You can then play music from your phone via Bluetooth to the aux input, you still get hands free calling via the normal way as you can connect to this BT and the car BT simultaneously.

Thanks, I already have a similar plug-in device. I find the audio quality a bit poor. Plus I want to be able to use a USB for my music and to change tracks via the steering wheel controls.

I'd rather keep the stock radio as it suits the car better. Hence why I'm still looking for one of these.

If I can't find the proper LR module at a decent price I'll just have to fit an aftermarket head unit and modules to interface to the steering wheel controls and reversing sensors. Good luck finding something that doesn't look gaudy and flashy these days. Confused Brett Nicholson

That looks like a great solution! I've not seen that before.

Does it work with the basic level CD-400 head unit? Or only the Harman Kardon type?

Thanks,

Ok, I have read further and answered my own question.

While it is pricey, it's cheaper and better featured than land Rover's offering.

However, my 2007 GS doe not have a MOST system. Basic audio only. So no-go. Big Cry

Cheers, Brett Nicholson

Hi Brett. I may have what you are looking for. I have a Discovery 4 now but previously had two GS's. The first was a 2007 MY and I had the main dealer install an iPod holder that allowed me to control it from the steering wheel. Cost a fippin' fortune at the time!! I had it removed when I changed the car. The head end was the entry model not the 'hi-end model'. I understand that the kit came with two looms. The only slight problem is that I'm on holiday in France until next weekend so can't get anymore info over to you till then. Are you still interested?

Hi Brett. I should have mentioned that I had two Freelander 2 GS's to be clear.

Hi Brett. The fog is clearing a bit now Very Happy. If I remember correctly I used to use an iPod 80Gb Classic with mine as it had the capacity to store all of my mp3's. So the connection is the apple 21 pin connector. Discovery 4 SE MY2015

Yes, I am definitely still interested.
