My Freelander Makes The Local Rag...

My Freelander has made the headlines in newspapers around Norfolk this morning.

I was filling up at a local fuel station- two petrol cans for my strimmer as well as some diesel for the Freelander.
As I was fuelling, a rattly old Ford Mondeo pulled up behind me and kept his engine running the whole time.
Once I had finished fuelling, I rolled forward on the forecourt to the shop front parking spaces before paying and thought nothing of it.

A couple of hours later, a Police officer turned up at my house to investigate a call from a distressed member of the public who claimed I was concealing a dead body wrapped in a duvet cover in the boot of my Freelander!

The duvet cover is, in fact, a bed for my two spaniels!

Yes its annoying a bit but i will still want to see people calling the police for suspicious things they see, probably one from 100 calls will save lives, well worth it.

on the bright side, your are now famous Very Happy

Down under we have freezers in the back due to the hot weather & the long distances, & most 4WDs have a shovel attached to the roof rack. Usually with a long handle as they are more efficient & you are less likely to do your back in! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

It seems the contents of my boot are overshadowed by doubts surrounding the legalities of my personalised number plate... according to the keyboard warriors... 😀

Now, don't you think that would have been flagged up by the Old Bill during their visit?

Luckily I am well acquainted with photo editing software... 😀 "We're in danger, we've got to get out."

Old Bill will certainly not be interested in your plate , we had two such plates on the drive when they came to discuss the pikeys who are on a stealing spree around here. Can you imagine the bad publicity in the Daily Mail if they couldn't be arsed to solve a crime but started picking on Middle England Freelie drivers Rolling with laughter

You are actually doing the police a favour by making it easier for passing concerned citizens to dob you in . I suggest with your newfound local fame that you buy another reg, AK 11 IER or AK 11 LER could be spaced nicely Thumbs Up 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

guy in my home town has a TT with 888 in the plate until you look and notice that one 8 is an 0 with a black bolt added.

I can see his point as its a special TT forget which model but still super dodgy, parks it 200 yards from the police station mind and has done for over a year At work
