Freelander 2 suspension

Washed car the other day noticed grease on inside of nsf wheel cleaned off , no splitting on gaiter drove and no more evidence , but do get a creak from near side front when turning steering wheel when stationary any ideas anyone ?

Found problem , driveshaft gaiter dlip loose so grease been leaking out

We had this happen but discovered too late that water had got in the gaiter. See below

Good to find a cause. re-charge it with some new CV joint grease possibly. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Sometimes jubilee clips are too small so if you get 2, unwind both then join them, hey presto job done. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

The one on my car was done up with a cable tie which was clearly insufficient as water had gotten into the joint. I asked my indie at the time how it could have got through an MOT and he said that as long as it's done up with something, even string, it could have passed although you would have expected an advisory on it. Shocked 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
