Secondary 12volt socket on consol.

When does the supply get to the 2nd socket, when the fob is inserted or when the engine is started.i want to use this to supply a relay which cuts the small solar panel which charges the battery when the engine is switched off.

Sure it's permanently live. At least it is on my HSE.
Used it for my dash cam, but noticed it the camera didn't switch off when I exited the car.

On my 11my the rear socket is always live. The front one by gear stick is live when fob inserted and on/off switch pushed. Not necessary to start. FL2 11 S Black 😂
