SEVERE CLUNK O/S FRONT.

Hello all,
I have a severe clunk o/s front when turning right around a roundabout, not so noticeable when turning right at a road junction,no problem when turning left/driving ahead/or pulling out right to overtake or pass a cyclist. no problem when breaking, excessive speeding is not an issue as I am a moderate driver, however the clunk is more noticeable when entering a right hand roundabout at a slow speed.
I have had the vehicle checked over by a L/R garage, have had the n/s & o/s struts removed and serviced, the suspension,
steering.tie bars, engine mounting bolts, ect, in fact anything that could be the cause checked over.

(the problem is still there).

I would be obliged if any member could shed some light on the problem.

Kind Regards,
gretaston.

Had a clunk on my vw beetle when I first started motoring many years ago. After changing both rear wheel bearings, the clunk was still there.
Removed the back seat to check the car battery was secure and found two d cell batteries rolling around.

There was a case of a lass spending a lot of brass with a local garage chasing a knock to be finally told to remove this sort of thing:
