I posted about my intermittent power loss a few weeks ago.ifitted the correct blank for my 2010(no hole)3 months ago and all seems well.
I just came back from n/devon to kent 275m all good cruising nicely,30 m from home got stuck in some traffic,pulled away and power was down,revs clean up to 1500ish then green "change up light comes on,accelerates cleanly 1500 light comes on etc etc till in top gear cruises along nicely but with a loss of "grunt".
I stopped at a store for for 20 mins or so got back in,started up and all is fine.
the car had a full service(all filters,proper oil for my model from "opie").1500 miles ago.
now a question for the "tech minded members."when blanking the egr are there any pipes or bits that could clog when there is not a lot of power on,as this only seems to occasionally happen when tootling around.there is no sign of any smoke etc from behind the car.i have checked the forum but cant see anyone who has had this issue.
I did consider removing the blank and see if there is any difference.

You need to get the fault codes read. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

thanks for the input,back to devon on Monday and will try to find an indy in the north devon area.
the main stealers in Barnstaple are county landrover,they have a good reputation,we took our d3 in a few years ago and found them very helpful,so might end up in there.

You will find the main dealers do not understand EGR blanking. "If it's not how LR built it, it must be faulty 'cos of that". Remove the blank before giving it to them & don't mention EGRs! The blank won't have caused your fault anyway. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

thanks for that Dunkley,had a similar thing a few years ago on a d3 with a squeaky epb,they said they had never had one in before with that problem I said he should go out more often or read the d3 forum.
also any idea what a stealer charges for a a reader to be plugged in? gone

No real idea. When I go to them I have an extended warranty. Budget for an hours work & if it's less you will be more than happy.

Went on a caving expedition to the Dales this afternoon. Got to thinking about power output as the FL2 seemed to be less responsive in slow traffic. Crossed my mind if the car goes into a DPF regen routine it may just seem for that period out of sorts. Any views ?

Oh the views in the Dales were great and the late run back with a full moon an hour ago and Led Zep on full tilt.  FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I don't think dpf regen should have that effect. After all, it's just heating up the exhaust pipe in effect. However that is the sort of symptom I'd expect from a sticky EGR valve. Is yours blanked? I can't remember...

I think YB had EGR problem but got it sorted .
