Any one used one of these for Gearbox and transmission oil changes. Or can anyone suggest problems in using one.

I agree but the same bit of kit is available elsewhere at a cheaper price. |

OK I should have started the original question with "apart from price". Hoping for practical feedback please.. |

That looks identical to the one I have which I paid about £35 for. These are recommended for Smart car engine oil changes as they have no sump plugs (Ditto boat engines). Works well if a little slowly. I am away from home at the moment so cannot find manufacturers name. But it was from ebay. Silver 2009 HSE |

Not to be used for high flammable liquids. Last I checked diesel is pretty flammable. Comments like this are just arse covering as they haven't tested it on that particular fluid. 10 gear oil services in and I I am still waiting for my one to spontaneously combust or catch fire. |

diesel is classed a combustible, not so easy to light in plain liquid form, needs to be mist have an accelerant with it to burn at room temperature. At work |

Correct CG , the fire triangle , oxygen in the correct ratio to fuel and a source of Ignition. Given that you can get most things to burn but a can of diesel would take some doing without as you say a bit of ingenuity.

Have the Laser model for doing the engine oil change on the Yanmar diesel I/b on the boat - works perfectly. |
