I have a NOWTV box on my upstairs TV and have the app on downstairs TV's.

I only subscribe to the movies package as I have normal Sky TV, BB and phone. But the BB and phone line are free in the deal I have so overall works out cheaper.

However if the free stuff was to end next year on renewal I would look at prices for just having the entertainment (normal TV channels and box sets) and movies on NOW TV, and sort out my BB through someone else. IMO Now TV is a good set up, you just need unlimited internet from another source.

(hadn't thought of looking on ebay for passes though Thumbs Up )

Yes. I've used it! Brilliant.

Like Barton Freelander I buy a week's sports pass when I need to. Good value @ £10.99 Beats paying for a whole year when there're often weeks when you don't want to watch anything.

Now that terrestrial TV has lost so many of the major sporting events, it makes sense.

The picture quality is much better than trying to find some obscure streaming website, somewhere.

I have Virgin, which gives me BT Sport & Eurosport, so with that & NowTV I've got sport pretty much covered.

I have apple TV so I can stream it to the big TV on the wall but........ you do lose a bit of definition when the picture is bigger. Still watchable, though.

Definitely worth trying!!

Im on freesat and amazon prime, but still have a now tv box as amazon prime only gives you older movies

just started paying full whack of 9.99/month for movies after using up the various half price introductory offers, I need the black box as panasonic TV's dont seem to have the NOW app

I butchered the panasonic TV remote removing the magnet from the huge Netflixs button as it was so easy to accidentally press, and so cumbersome to get off netfix once pressed.

netflix still available on tv just via the apps menu At work

Like the others here I have NOW TV - great for movies and box sets - watch eBay for bargain access vouchers - just got movies for 4 months for £16
Easy to use, discrete little box (they can be bought cheap too) and so far no issues with picture quality etc - am on ordinary BB No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

i haven't looked at nowTV, might do so though

£68.50 a month just for Sky HD with Movies and a extra box

Spoke with them this morning about switching to Sky Q, £68.50 + £99 for a box (no 2nd box) or £115 with the second box, same price each month

Also the factoring in of no box with all channels to take away in the caravan, they could not commit to installing the hybrid LNB so my freesat TV would still work within the house

So im now left, wait till Virgin finish the installation in my Town and risk them, for 200mb and sky movies etc or stays as i am Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Seeing the kit you all have I must be living down on poverty street. I do have a classic Panasonic TX-P46G20BA Plasma screen TV which has Freesat and Freeview tuners plus a superb picture. Also keeps the room warm! I have unlimited BB plus phone via Plusnet and Apple TV box which I have not got around to using apart from some YouTube. Not too much bothered with sports except F1. Do like dramas & movies. What am I missing?

I only have Freeview and Now TV - sacked Sky 10 years ago - don't follow sport so it was a waste of time and money for me to have their bundles.
I am being bombarded now by Virgin who want - wait for it - £60 a month!! That is their cheapest bundle package - you can go over £80 a month if you want the lot.
Why would anyone want to record 6 programs whilst watching a 7th??

So lets see if I've got this right.
1 get a box
2 plug in
3 get pass
4 watch tv

Do I have to sign up or can I get a box and passes off ebay?
Do you have to watch when the programmes are on or there a catch up/ on demand option?
Presume you can't record? Common sense isn't very common.
