Tow bar quote

Just been quoted £350 for a detachable towbar with single electrics. Is this expensive? Apart from halfords there isn't much choice tbh!

Any advice/ help welcome.

Thanks

Fitted ? Cheap enough fitted if reputable firm. Try indespension.

Ha! .. I was quoted £320 for my last car (Suzuki Vitara) I got a new one off ebay for under £80 and had it fitted by myself in under two hours with 2 brew breaks!

If you have a pair of car ramps, a decent socket set and a wire/cable crimp ... easy peesy.

Look on ebay

Non detachable

Swan neck

Detachable

Electrics cost more than the tow bar!

When I did mine I got the bar and electrics from my local indy and i'm sure I didn't pay that much for the twin electrics, you can buy non specific electrics a lot cheaper with all the hassle of fitting, the specific ones are plug and play. Common sense isn't very common.

Easy way out if you can DIY, here in Spain no can do as its registered on your car docs as fitted by a garage to ensure and prove a secure fit etc. Rather miffed as I wanted to fit my own.
