I have a removable tow hitch but the key with it doesn't seem to fit - are these generic or specific to each car and a main dealer replaceable item?

Hi, When I bought my disco 3 it had a LR heavy duty tow bar but no key. Mine had a 4 digit code (1D25) on the shiny end disc where you put the key in. Ebayed it and £2 for new one, 1 key fits a range of codes. Was a bit of a pain to turn green handle once unlocked, but if yours is same LR removable hitch can give you some pointers if seized up - cheers
