Wind Deflectors

Hi all
Still loving my freelander2 been 7 months now.
Touring France at to moment with 1500kg caravan.
The comfort still amazes me having a bad back I can drive for 3 hours no probs.
ANYWAY WIND DEFLECTORS
I can't drive with the windows open in any position the buffering does me in,I've tried all window opening combinations to no avail.
DO WIND DEFLECTORS WORK AND CAN

ANYONE RECOMMEND A GOOD MAKE.
The HEKO ones get a lot of bad reviews.
Or are people just not fitting correctly

I had HEKO ones on my last FL2 and the front ones worked a treat. Could open the windows with no buffeting at all

The rear ones still allowed the buffeting IIRC but they were good for parking up and leaving the windows down slightly in hot weather.

Land Rover genuine items are made by EGR who maunfacturer for hundreds of different manufacturers. EGR are stuck with 3M tape. They'll never come off.

Can't say whether the car is quieter with or without but they are good to have a bit of ventilation whether driving or standing still.They are still stuck to the car.

hi have HEKO ones, bought off here, not noticed any difference in buffeting to be honest

going to give it a bit longer through the days were I can have the windows down and see if they can stay on

I have found a leak too if a pressure washer is aimed upwards, that along is annoying as well Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I have HEKO and they have been fine for me, personal choice, I do not like the ones that stick on the outside, HEKO slips in the window slot after a bit of fiddling with it . . . Thumbs Up

I don't have wind deflectors but was thinking of fitting some. While searching I found a clip on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zx1vn7ysqK8 (in German) where they compare 3 different brands, Farad, Heko and Climair. All 3 are in window types, not stick-on.

Climair was installed quickest and was the only one that did not need metal clips. When driving on the motorway with the window a bit open they lost one of the Farad's and the Heko's moved a bit, the only one that stayed in it's place were the Climair's.

Later in the clip they are talking about regulations and state that the Climair is the only one approved for Germany. And of course they do not forget to mention it is a German product, maybe that is why it wins in a German test?

Could be it is an Climair advertisement, I do not know.
