Well, my FL2 has been in to have the drivers door mirror fixed and a software update because of the dipping revs whilst stationary (hopefully will sort out the mpg as well)

Pleased to report that the service I received has been the best that I have received from any garage, including the very nice wifee on service reception Very Happy

Hope the service is better than the sales team.

Went in to buy a used one and got test drive, very nice guy, offered me a decent(ish)rate for my P/X, said I would think about it.
Went back a week later to be told "yeah that price was last week" Was then offered £1400 less!!! Talk about try to pressure you into it! Asked if there was any movement and was told an emphatic "NO". That was it!
The guy then said "oh we have a sale next week" seemed to regret it then added "oh no, I was mistaken" Then they had a sale so he blatantly lied!

Went down to Perth and bought one, much nicer sales staff, gave me a decent rate. And they clean their cars, inside and out.
Some of the TandC cars were dirty inside and out, one of the ones I tried the phone module was missing. When I pointed this out the guy said "Oh is it?". One of the cars the seat stitching was hanging off, one was scratched to Censored .
They seemed annoyed that I would want to test drive more than one, until I pointed out that 24 grand is a lot of money!

Think the prob is that the cars are selling themselves at the mo, especially in oil rich Aberdeen.

Thumbs Up

I bought mine here and was very impressed with the sales guys, they gave me a good px rate against a new HST.
I would use them again.

I'll keep an eye out for it.
Yeah they have more to offer on new cars for P/X. I got mine at 6 months old so they had less profit margin apparently.

Sounds like a poor dealer to me - always worth getting a couple of dealers to quote for servicing.

Air filters should be changed when necessary on services - did you get a service record to check they did what they're supposed to?

Yep they can NPinks, so long as they have the right computer.

I was told I didn't need any updates for mine, but they can do it (I had a warranty fix a couple of months ago, and they did lots then).

I also think you can do it yourself, for a price. On the landrover website theres a link to a site for the tech reference, where I think you can pay for membership, and download the latest updates. Then buy yourself the software, and cable (probably a few £k) and you're in business.

Mind you I wouldn't do it, if it went wrong I bet it'd be a big bill to fix it.

Yep, got one of those and checked over the car when I got home. Everything on the service schedule has been done but I was suprised that the air filter wasn't changed though. Apparently it gets changed at 30,000 miles, except mine was "black" so thats why I bought a new one and fitted it myself.

Also had a 1L bottle of oil left in the car for me and this is where I get confused.....
The handbook states USE ONLY 5W-30 engine oil meeting Ford 913-B spec..
The oil that I received was Mobil Synt S 5W-40 fully synthetic motor oil.

Have Land Rover now changed their spec on which oil they now use Question
