A couple of years ago I removed a toilet which had an external overflow (pipe through wall). The new one did not (overflow into pan). I blocked the hole on the inner wall with filler/plaster and intended to fill the outer hole but never got round to it. Now it appears the hole and cavity has been exploited by white tailed bumble bees who have made it their home. They are not causing me any problem but I wondered if they will damage the wall in any way (they are definitely not masonry bees)? Should I block the hole at the end of the summer or just let them be . FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory |

We had one of those very large Bumble Bees in the garden unable to fly - we moved it to a sunny spot and gave it some honey, which it seemed to enjoy, and with a few body movements, somewhat like a Sumo wrestler, it took off and headed South MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Just make sure you have definitely blocked up the inner hole. The last thing you want in the same small room as yourself when you have you are bent over with your trousers and pants around your ankles is a swarm of bees looking for a new nest hole! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

We need to help the bees all we can, they just wanted a lift somewhere and someone was obviously happy to oblige! |
