Thanks for the "help" yorky bob. A good reason for not folding mirrors every time you turn of the engine is visiting dealers over 7,000 clicks a month as I do, means 20 odd folds a day unnecessary wear. Common sense, not very common now I know. Is there anyone out there who can give me some useful info regarding this mirror problem? "Other" car: Defender TD5 CSW 90.

Im pretty sure to deactivate the folding mirrors you have to lock the car, allow the mirrors to fold in, then fold them out by hand.

Thanks for reply RogB, that is what the dealer did, now they cannot get them to work at all despite all they have tried, as per my first post. If you hear or think of anything else I might try please post. Both dealer & I are stumped at moment, thanks.
