Thats a whopping 2 grand more than it was in April this year Shocked, but it is sexy though Cool

Dave, the hard-top was the cheaper one!

Now £32,107.13 with 12 months tax as opposed to £32,800, due to the VAT decrease! (Slightly undersold it by £305 in my first post! Thumbs Up

Shocked After buying and rejecting 2 x Puma engined 110's in the last 12 months due to shocking build quality and iffy transmissions I just cannot for the life of me see how LR can justify the prices of Defenders. Looks are amazing but where else is the cost born???

If you get the opportunity to go on a Home Of The Legend tour at Solihull you will see why the costs are where they are as they are quite labour intensive to build. It is a very interesting tour which shows you the whole process from pannel pressing to final checks. Very Happy

It is a really poor show that you have had two that you have rejected two, and touch wood we've not had anyone come back with one so far. It's well doccumented that a huge proportion of Land Rover's are still on the road today with most of those being very close to the current Defender's DNA. Granted they are not as refined as the rest of the range, however they are as tough as old boots and built to last. Thumbs Up

It's a real shame that we've (LR and the network) have clouded your opinion of what is a great British icon. I can see your point though after two opportunities to get it right. Bow down

James Thumbs Up

I ran an old 200tdi 90 for years and it never let me down apart from an alternator at £35. That's what I find frustrating, the old ones are bulletproof yet the new ones just don't seem to be right. Both suffered from noisy diffs, rattling handbrake shoes, clutch problems, blown vacuum oil seals.

Having said that I have bought 3 x D3's in the last year too, so brand loyalty not really a problem Laughing
