There are twin horns fitted INSIDE the front bumper.

ok so the alarm on my freelander 2 dose work when activated and also beeps if I try to lock it with a door

That's the alarm horn. Don't think that should work with the main horn. Perhaps your main horns are poggered? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

my thoughts exactly and looking at the wiring there dose not seem that it has been played around with also if I knew where the wires were for the horns I would simply cut them and put a couple of snail horns in the lower part and would not have to remove the front bumper. and no mud at all under the car . |

I have and its two wires in one wrap that go into a hole half way down the rad on the right if your in front of the car I will let you know what colour the two wires are soon, and even with the bumper

its 4 wires and they are 2 white with green line and 2 black with purple lines and the are under the head light . |

I've checked the slip ring, the fuse and changed the relay with no joy, hopefully i'll be able to decide which route to take now. Very grateful. |

I done the same and it was the horns that were just dead so cut the wires and as I said put twin
