We can see yours is an 08 TD4 Auto. Was it starting ok previously? Has it been serviced/worked on before this problem occurred? If so, what? What is the mileage? 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

. Diesel. iv just had a throttle control valve fitted at the dealers The next day the car just cut out I got my freelander 2 back from the L R dealers today as it was recovered by them on Tuesday morning . After cutting out on me and refused to start and coming up HDC code I'm informed the problem was a crank shaft sensor the car is now running ok It was a long weekend running about in my 1965 2A Thanks for the help Last edited by Ian tellum on 19th Apr 2017 7:56 pm. Almost certainly your failure to start is connected to something done during the throttle valve change. I presume you are getting the HDC warning when cranking. This is merely a response of lower voltage due to starter load and unlikely to be connected. Contact your dealer. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)
