Thanks NPINKS but may be you are right. But with heated screen on i wouldnt use the washer jets. Its the frozen nozzels in the cold weather that i thought the heated jets would prevent. I have a LR2GS with privacy glass and winter pack |

I think that the heated nozzles are on all of the time, we only notice them in cold weather, their job is to keep the very fine orifices clear. The pipes etc rely on engine heat to keep them free. Like most motors the reservoir is packaged down between the front bumper skin and the wheelarch liner where it gets very little radiated heat. Never seen a motor with a heated reservoir so keep adding the winter screenwash.

But they still freeze up over night!! This happened to me last winter, after a hard frost, probably the only time the car was left on the drive instead of being in the garage!, I went to use the washers after the heated screen did it's thing and they were frozen!
