after you have installed the red and black wire into the original bulb holder (correct polarity) all the other plugs ballast new hid bulbs etc are one way connection type, ie you cant get wrong

The original headlamp bulb wiring is supplying the voltage required for the hid kit, nothing to do with the daylight running lights (mine is a late 2013 fl2 with led drl's) afaik there is no canbus on the fl2
It would be unlucky to get the wirring the wrong way on both sides but not imposible, and it would also be unlucky to have two dud units. its a pitty you are so far away, id come and sort it if you where local, the job is that fast!

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

Hi All,

I reversed the connector from the original bulb holder and it worked fine, i would have done it myself except i don't have a big enough drill bit for the hole required.
I will get my garage to do it this week with those instructions.

Many Thanks All...

So i have the HID kit fitted but i'm not sure the headlights are any brighter than the old ones were...
If i put the driving lamps one, they seem brighter than the HIDS

assume you mean fog lights that do light up the ground in front of you very well. personally i thought the difference was chalk and cheese. when i bought my fl2 the journey home at night was scary with the standard bulbs!
