I just did it online, the warranty is with LR not your dealer, they just do the work |

Double check with dealer, their system says 19th same day I have it serviced each year, booking in phone call also was booked in to coincide with warranty running out

I think it's more to do with how "glued" in the customer service at your dealer-ship. Selling extended warranty would get some points from LR as well I think. When I bought my MY13 2 years ago, it came with 2 years warranty: 1 remaining manufacturer and one extended warranty. In March a lady from Lloyd Carlisle sent me an email to invite me to buy extended warranty as it runs out in April (prompt me to open Is extended warranty worth it?)

I know to check my V5 now, but expected that the supplying dealer would have the date on there systems correct

all sorted now, somehow, LR started the warranty 2 weeks after the cars was registed, but LReW taken out and dealer provided a nice good will gesture Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

I was not offered an extended warranty on my last vehicle when it turned 3 years old. May be because I didn't get it serviced by supplying dealer (took it to TVLR instead for cheaper and better service). Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

i was told that the aftermarket warranty is started by the supplying dealer, they pass the details to the warranty company who contact you, now mine was a LR supplied car, directly on to the dealers stock list so in my case LR couldn't be bothered Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

Mine too, was an LR car, what you say makes sense as my dealer was never part of the extended warranty process.

Sorry to fetch this back up but I've just been quoted by my dealer that to get an extended warranty for a year is £750.

Extended warranty is currently £795 or £79.50 per month over 10 months, so your quote is cheap!
