Encouraging unsafe driving

This article caught my eye this morning, I recently saw the new BMW 5 series advert, with its 'connected' screen, it will read emails, once you have swiped through the screens to get to it. As mobile phone use becomes outlawed to a greater degree the car manufacturures seem to be finding ways to circumvent the law and allow people access to their screen.
Airbags are optional extras, for some cars, and screens becoming more standard, the world really is turning mad.

The following story is interesting as it singles out Jaguar, no doubt some element of sabotage somewhere, if our free press had sense they would support home grown products, instead their executives ride around in BMW, much like the police, maybe our German Queen has more clout than we realise.

There, that's off my chest ... carry on

My Scooby Doo will read e-mails and texts aloud at the touch of a finger. Incoming text message arrives on screen with a read button. I've only got it set up for texts. It's a single finger tap to do it. You then have a dozen auto responses if you were desperate enough to use them,( although i will admit I have customised Laughing one or two just because I could. Whistle )

The down side is this... in car with Auntie Margaret, text comes in from mate Phil, single digit touch to screen, nice ladies voice says, " nowthen tosser, stop ******* about and get yourself out for a curry tomorrow, hmm real "smart" technology. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

He'd be wasting his time ! the Weatherby Whaler in Pudsey is the destination of choice for Auntie M, and since I've turned sixty, I can also ask for the Seniors Special, and enjoy free mushy peas, and a pudding Laughing under £20 for 2 Thumbs Up .. unlike the curry night...£8 for the Bradford Kashmir, and 50 quid in the Gin Bar in Sunbridge Wells
Big Cry I should have answered with one of my witty presets ! 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
