United Kingdom 2015 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Orkney Grey
Top Gear

Surprised nobody has mentioned the new series - mixed reviews from the press and I for one was underwhelmed. Format as before with perhaps less innuendo. Time will tell but I think my licence fee could be put to better use. Crying or Very sad MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Lago Grey

'Mixed' about sums it up.

On the plus side it was much better than last year, and it was good to see the foreign jaunts back again as they were always the best part of the Clarkson era. Unfortunately, though, this wasn't one of the better jaunts.

Biggest probem was the studio segments, where the presenters just don't (yet) have the charisma and chemistry of Clarkson et al. That may come with time, we'll see. Although not in the first episode I believe the Stig is still around, which is a pity. I'd have ditched Stig, handed the role over to Sabine and made it a speaking part!

Overall it has promise, and I for one will give it a chance and see where it's going.

Definitely better than the previous (Evans) series. I also found it more enjoyable than the later Clarkson era. A lot less ego on show. Agreed the presenters have yet to "gel" but that will take time. Le Blanc entertaining & did not try to overshadow the others. Very "un-Clarkson"! Agree re Sabine, was a welcome addition to the previous series.

I enjoyed it (which is what matters I guess). Room for improvement -yes but Im hopeful.
Chris Harris's drive in the FXXK (or whatever) was great TV and I like Le Blanc's dead pan approach too.
Getting a more interesting "reasonably priced car " was much needed.

I cant compare it to the Grand Tour as I couldnt be bothered to buy one of those dongle things. But I'll be watching TG next time. Jules
