Legal question

If some walks up my drive uninvited & rings my bell , I answer the door and I don't like the look of them or want to engage them in conversation, can I tell them to leave and if they don't look like they are leave can I say " get off of my property or I will set the dog on them"? Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

i would think you would be committing a crime, unless there was a threat of personal injury

you can tell them to leave but not set the dog on them, that is a threat which could land you in trouble. Common sense isn't very common.
