Err help please - I broke my flexishaft

Apparently that's what they're called anyway... I have a 2010 Freelander 2 HSE with electric seats. Anyway the cable / flexishaft that goes between the motor and the seat frame which enables the seat to move forward and back is broken. Have tried numerous parts suppliers seemingly you can't buy on their own, only with a new seat base which is mega pricey. I did think about 3D printing one as we've got a printer at work but our mechanic thinks that won't be strong enough to cope with rotational force of motor. Any ideas? Or suggestions where to get a replacement from? It's the longer of the two I need (from seat base to middle of car rather than to the door). Pic below

Hope some of that makes sense... any help or suggestions welcomed!!

This might seem a bit odd to suggest but I once replaced/repaired my broken speedo flexible drive on a Morris Marina with a length of that plastic coated springy stuff that they stretch across window frames to hang net curtains. It made an ideal flexible drive shaft and I just soldered the fittings on either end from the broken one. Hope that made sense. Shocked 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

If the part isn't available you might be able to get a seat base from a breaker. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

Skan4x4 are on ebay selling F2 seat motors at the moment, chances are he will have the flexi shafts as well, dealt with them on a few occasions for TD5 parts, always very helpfull.
Helped a mate fit a F1 window regulator repair kit, that came with a new Flexi shaft, long shot but maybe that would fit

Thank you for the suggestions. I heard back from Dan @ Brookwells who was able to find the part no of it when no one else could - LR023398 in case it's useful to anyone in the future.

Great service too, they even ordered it and sent me pictures before I paid just to check it was definitely the right part.
