When I collected my Freel2 last year the dealer! proudly pointed out the new doublestar tyres he had fitted on the front axle, what a load of rubbish, absolute waste of money.

Personally I would refuse the car and get them to fit OE tyres, especially if they claim to be a LR specialist, if they are cutting corners like that, what else have they done? |

my first FL2 bought from a LR dealer had 4 new Maxxis tyres fitted to it, Id never heard of them at that time but was just impressed that they had replaced all 4.

Probably the best course of action as I've already paid my deposit, I will let them know I think they should put premium tyres on a premium branded car. After all I'm not buying a Ford Fiesta am I? |

Are the tyres stamped the 107 loading, to ensure you are well within the limits for the towing noseweight and loading of the car over the rear axle.

In my case I was more than happy with the deal, as the front tyres on it we're OK and legal so basically they where out of his profit! and I got a very good trade in on the Discovery TD5 DAVE. |

The loading is correct at 103 but the speed rating's wrong, so they're gonna need changing! |

OK, should have mentioned my originals are Pirelli's on an 18" rim and are 107 loading, other rim sizes and car year may differ. |

They eventually admitted they had fitted the wrong spec tyres so I said I wanted Avon ZX7's fitted instead. They had the cheek to ask for another £100 to pay for the difference! Anyway I stood my ground saying my OH is gonna come down and make a scene (you really wouldn't want that) ......I don't think they had any choice but to go with the Avons at no extra charge. |
