Ukraine 2013 Freelander 2 2.0T SE Auto Fuji White

I made a couple of comments (post 11 & 15) about sliding off the road in this thread from standing still. Absolutely nothing you could do. http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic28323.html

Other half is from Germany and spent many years in the snow & ice. Her thoughts during & after this drive were 'I felt safer & had more control on snow & ice in the Black Forest in a 2 wheel drive car'

A currentl road condition report http://www.centraldarling.nsw.gov.au/about...eport.aspx When we were out there pretty much every road was closed. Nothing you could do but wait, & hope you have enough drinking water. Recommendation is to carry a minimum of 5 days spare water. & spade & toilet paper for the other end as well!

Highways out there are simply dirt roads which turn into a skating rink. If the road is closed & you are caught driving on it expect a heavy fine. You always ask the local Council or locals for road conditions. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
