service "overcharge" - what to do ?

Hi all,

Just had the 1st service and to cut a long story short, the basic labour cost was 75% higher compared to another forum member, (who had their 1st service about 4 months ago).

If the Dealer refuses to explain / justify the cost increase - what is the next step ?

Where can I escalate this problem - is there a LandRover HQ that I can "report" my Dealer to ?

do you have any Watchdog organisation like we do have in the UK?

Have they don't any extra work over the normal service? and didn't you ask the price prior to the car actually going in to the garage? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

The problem is the garage will probably have their hourly rate/service costs printed somewhere in the garage and that will be their get out.

Garages seem to be able to set their own hourly rates. Is this true or is it fixed?

In the UK or elsewhere? Confused
