i would like to have the intelligent stop start set to off by default, if possible i would like to be able to switch it back on manually when I am at a particular lights with long red duration. anyone managed to do it?

Ok, the stop/start system is designed to do a system check & reset at every ignition cycle and is set to "on" from startup.
Stop/start can be switched off via the CCF but this totally disables the system which is not what you asking for.
To get the system to do what your asking would require a software update to set the standby status at ignition to "off" instead of "on" and being able to activate via the switch via the dash.
You will need to ask LR if there has been a software update for this.
I know they (LR) can do it as I'm currently doing the exact same update to my PAM so sensors automatically activate below 25kph instead of manually activating when selecting "D". I can then select via dash switch between automatic or manual activation by holding down switch for 3 seconds. Still waiting for LR to "debug" they're software ATM so will carry out update as soon as it's clear.
I suggest you put in your enquiry to Land Rover as to whether the update exists, it's will be a SDD release note.
