Freelander 2 2012
Tailgate closes, locks,opens everything as normal.
When you are driving you can hear the microswitch? clicking away.
Tailgate not opening, but there is the warning 'tailgate open ' on the dash.

Had the latch mechanism off and flooded with WD40 but to no avail!

Do you think it is the microswitch in the latch and therefore a replacement (£70 )?
Rather than the tailgate switch which is to the eye perfect.
