That is interesting what you say there though, as I agree in that every car I have owned that has ever needed a battery has started to show signs with a weak turnover etc, but I've never had one just go and be fine one minute and then just not start? |

Now that does make sense, as I said in the post above I have never had an issue with this car in the last year and then all of a sudden this happens immediately after having the clutch done.

have you done the extra earth strap to the starter mod?, its the first thing I did when I got the car as its a known problem

I haven't no, just had a quick search and have just seen all of the posts on the issue. Why was this caused then, is it genuinely an overlooked item from LR then? |

no idea to be honest, maybe corrosion or just rubbish design, just one of those little niggles that seems to trouble us FL2 owners - FL2 3.2 i6 - There is no Replacement for Displacement

Just a quick update guys, I checked all earth fixings etc and all seemed good to me so I took the plunge and bought a new battery (a yuasa 5 year guarantee one) and fitted that and since then it has been spot on touch wood.
