late model FL2, Evoque etc etc can all be driven away with out the key. So you could get in the car, start it up, get dragged out (with keys in your pocket) and they drive off with the car and the keys still in your pocket

My 2015my will turn off the engine once warmed up due to the stop start system. If I open the door it will then fully turn off, as if I've pressed the off button. I am so used to this happening I now have to think about turning it off on the occasions that it stays running. Auto lock should also help you from being dragged out at lights. |

It was easier in the 90's, you only need a Yale key (to strip the wires) back then.
