It looks very tidy under there. All very flush, with no sticky out bits to get damaged. I wonder if the spare wheel is any more secure?!

Do you have to crawl under to swap the wheel? If so carry a piece of plastic sheet to put on the ground. My long gone Peugeot 504 had the wheel on a frame which would lower down with the release in the back of the boot. I would think it's on a cable operated from the boot edge, hopefully more secure than the Santa Fe and Sorento that have a history of stolen wheels due to being able to cut the cable via the spokes my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Great place to put a spare on a 4x4. Imagine changing that after ripping the sidewall out of a rear tyre off road I've changed the wheel on a Clio which uses the same system and a much lighter space saver. It had 25000 miles on the clock without a flat. The spare was filthy and I ended up looking like I'd been shovelling coal the tip above about a plastic sheet it excellent 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

if your off road the spare will be the least of your problems, finding a suitable jack and foot print blocks sleepers etc will be.

Seen one on the road today, from the back you can instantly tell its part of the discovery family. That's nothing to do with the offset number plate! I can't really pin down to why....
