Can fitting LED bulbs knock out door locks?

Fitted LED bulbs to footwell lights today, went to lock car nothing happened, Dead is this a coincidence or has fitting the bulbs caused this?

Find it hard to believe. Was the doors open long enough to flatten the battery? I know my freelander 2 doors offen aren't keen on opening/locking when the battery voltage is down, even tho it has enough to start the car.

Is that just after the engine has been running or with the engine running if so I'd leave it overnight and check the voltage in a he morning, as that may just be surface charge.

Failing that I'd say it's a coincidence and would check the in key battery. If the battery in key need replaced it requires soldierd. Think if I remember correctly it should be a 3v (of the top of my head).

I'm pretty sure I have seen a clip on YouTube about charging the battery but have never tried it out.

The car might be a bit Censored off Whistle I guess quite a few on here if honest would admit trying to uprate cars from the standard build became a costly mistake. With the cost associated with these motors if you upset the magic boxes I for am leaving well alone apart from early changes of fluids and filters. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

i replaced the interior and number plate lights with LED on both my 2008 GS and my 2010 HSE

The GS all worked fine with no side effects.

The HSE would suffer from poor radio reception on DAB and FM when the lights were on

I replaced the number plate bulbs with standard and the problem went away

I left the interior LED bulbs in as they were never on at the same time as the radio.

I think that some guys over on the D3 forum also had similar problems.

have you tried reverting back to standard bulbs and seeing if the locking issue is still there ??

I want to upgrade side and head lights on my 2008 TD4, would you know what the best plug and play ones are? I don't want to get into extra wiring!
