A Freelander 2 with the 2.7 JLR diesel engine, higher ground clearance, a low ratio box and beefed up final drive. Oh and just to top it off the interior trim of a LR 322 Range Rover - the best car interior ever designed in my opinion.

I started exactly this same thread years ago on Landyzone's Freelander section. I was curious to see what Land Rover people would covert more than any other , if money was no object.

Did you know that JLR built two prototype Freelander 2 - 2.7 TDV6's? They drove very well apparently, but EU pedestrian impact laws stopped the project. As the engine was transversely mounted in the Freelander 2, the front cylinder head was too close to the bonnet to comply. Shame though as a V6 Freelander would have been nice!
