but I never heared any explanation for it.. Confused [ Freelander 2 TD4e MY10 Sport manual. SVR badge engineered ] SOLD

Poppies grew on the Somme battlefield in the First World War. So many soldiers fell there, and it was adopted by Earl Haig, as a symbol that we will remember them by!

@mcsimmo. Thanks ! In the Netherlands we have veteransday, but thats mainly a remembrance by vetrerans
and their families. The strong link to national pride and support I see in Poppy Appeal, does not
excist here. I can think of some reasons. But that's far to politic to discuss here. Thanks guys !

This is the official Royal British Legion Shop, the poppies are also on fleabay but I suspect will be lining some nasty little individuals pocket rather than the money going to the right place Thumbs Up
