Hi everyone, just registered on here as a friend recently purchased a 2008 TD GS, and I'm the designated mechanic!
Today I replaced the throttle body on the car after the old one stripped its plastic gears.
All went well but I ran another diagnostics test and it told me the following-

"Diesel intake air position sensor - circuit low"

"Diesel intake air flow control - stuck closed"

If I remove the codes, and re-scan, they come up straight away again, although sometimes the second one changes to "stuck open"

The part I fitted was a new genuine LandRover part.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I'd be very grateful

Need the actual code numbers ( 7 digit ones if possible PXXXX-XX ).

What errors do you get if you don't plug in the cable to the throttle body? The same errors?

I'll get the code numbers tomorrow when Im back at work.
With it unplugged these codes don't show, but from memory it was open circuit errors

did you reconfigure the throttle body adaptions ? Jaguar x-type sport gone

No I just assumed it would be plug and play, but did suspect there'd be some sort of adaptation needed.
How do I go about this?
Diagnostics tool stopped working today as well. Hoping it's just the lead...

Yes, there is a procedure/adaption to be run when changing throttle body.
I am not sure if a generic diagnostic tool can do it, as it implies reading DPF values and running 2 procedures inside the engine ECU, but you can use the dealer tool, SDD, to do it. Or go to a dealer to do it.

As it seems to be the gears that fail, would it be possible to fit the gears from a new body to an old body, and avoid a trip to the dealers for recalibration? Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

If you put the gears EXACTLY in the same position, yes.
The calibration is for learning the travel's end points.

There have been a number of posts on the forum about replacing the throttle body and no one has mentioned that it needs to be configured. Am I missing something?

Yep, it's a section of the dealer tool, where it's shown, among others, the action that need to be taken/run after replacement of the throttle body.

We don't doubt your knowledge Alex, it's just that quite a few members now have changed the Throttle Body, but this is the first time it has been mentioned regarding calibration, all the others have fitted the Throttle Body, it has fixed the particular problem and no more has been mentioned.
