did you reconfigure the throttle body adaptions ? Jaguar x-type sport gone

No I just assumed it would be plug and play, but did suspect there'd be some sort of adaptation needed.

Yes, there is a procedure/adaption to be run when changing throttle body.

As it seems to be the gears that fail, would it be possible to fit the gears from a new body to an old body, and avoid a trip to the dealers for recalibration? Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

If you put the gears EXACTLY in the same position, yes.

There have been a number of posts on the forum about replacing the throttle body and no one has mentioned that it needs to be configured. Am I missing something?

Yep, it's a section of the dealer tool, where it's shown, among others, the action that need to be taken/run after replacement of the throttle body. |

We don't doubt your knowledge Alex, it's just that quite a few members now have changed the Throttle Body, but this is the first time it has been mentioned regarding calibration, all the others have fitted the Throttle Body, it has fixed the particular problem and no more has been mentioned. |
