Fully agree. Bought my i6 cheap. New LR main dealer supplied engine that's now done 27000 miles along with new diff etc. I often try and compare it to my old Freelander 1 V6. Being both petrol and automatic. Absolutely no contest. Its far better on fuel Too. I gassed my V6 which then made it cheaper to run than my Td4. As soon as my Td4 is sold, the money will go straight on an lpg conversion for the i6. I initially wanted to spend around 7k and was looking at buying a diesel. This i6 HSE popped up At a bargain price and with a choice mods and LPG system would take me to that 7k mark. All of the diesels I looked at were lower spec high mile jobs. Most needed something doing in order to bring them up to scratch too incurring more expense. So I just had no choice than to buy my i6. Been a LR owner for 25 years and owned most variants with exception of a Range Rover and a series 1. Loved every one except my first Freelander, a 1.8 petrol which was horrendous. However it never put me off Freelanders and I've owned 3 other F1 since. But this i6 is really something. Love it. Even more than my Td4 rally car and the Lightweight on my drive. |

The Airportable, totally the opposite to the Freelander2 hse, but what fun, had one for awhile but in the end it needed to much welding so had to go

Nice one! I have a very similar 2007 build HSE 3.2, same colours and all. Have a look at the bluetooth thread here http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic23386.html it'll give you an overview of how the system works, there is also a newer bluetooth phone module which is plug & play. As your phone is simply not working, it could be a defective module, maybe someone has unplugged it and put a blanking loop in place, or maybe the MOST bus just needs a reset. The reset involves pulling a metal tab out of the rear fusebox for a few minutes, explanation here http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic26785.html?highlight=reset There was no factory reverse camera option on the earlier cars HOWEVER the touchscreen is the same as the one used in the Jag XF and they did have a reverse camera option, and the back of the screen in the FL2 does in fact have the connections for the camera to plug in. So it should be possible to make it work on the FL2 as well, the option does exist in the CCF (car configuration file) to activate it. As I don't have the factory navigation in mine, I haven't really pursued this, but im 99% sure it's possible. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers 2009 Jaguar XKR 4.2 S/C Portfolio 2005 Jaguar XJR 4.2 S/C Black/Cranberry 2005 Jaguar X-Type 3.0L AWD - Gone |

Just got back from a 280 mile round trip to the seaside and got 24.8mpg on lpg, so rough calculation it's equal to a diesel doing 70mpg. lpg @ 0.40ppl and diesel @1.20ppl. Common sense isn't very common.

24.8 mpg = 11.3 L/100km which is about spot on for my 3.2 in urban tropics running on 98 octane. I guess thats par for the course and actually quite decent |

I've just started to keep a log on petrol consumption purely to ascertain if my computer is telling lies or not will only know in a while |
