United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Barolo Black
Reverse camera

Hi I'm a new recruit and would like some advice. I've recently bought an FL2 TD4 2008 with all the trimmings but no reverse camera. What do I need to do? The sat nav screen doesn't seem to have any options on the home screen and I can't find where to update new maps! Help

Theres a DVD player under the drivers seat that takes the sat nav disc. You need to buy a new disc (if the maps are too out of date on the current one)

Dont think it has a reversing camera though.....

United Kingdom

Got 2011 FL2 with "Gen1" sat-nav. Just had reverse camera fitted. Excellent quality picture on screen, but because the camera is "universal" the guidelines are fairly crap.
Its not easy.
Fit camera to tailgate (fairly easy)
Attach wiring for camera to reverse light (fairly easy)
Run cables for reverse feed and camera through the ducting along roof space down "A" post to near sat-nav screen (not so easy)
Locate power feed for interface (time consuming)

Camera £15-£50
Interface £200+?
Joy on wifes face - priceless
Down side, must select "sat-nav" each time start car for camera to operate.

I cheated, got a company to supply and fit (£550), too cold and no garage.....
