United Kingdom 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Santorini Black
1st major fault in 20 years

I have been very lucky with past Landrovers but now got a rear diff oil leak on my 62 plate. I have owned defenders, freelander 1's and now a FL2 with no real problems. So i suppose i am overdue a big bill Sad

She goes in to dealers monday. remortgage house tuesday Laughing

Unless its a real hazard like getting on brakes or exhaust a can of diff oil goes a long way. As Nut says if it ain't got a leak it ain't a LR.

Mine is currently misting from the drive shaft seals and that is how it will stay until I see a puddle under the car.

Look on the bright side as you fly down the road as you are rust protecting the rear body section for free. Laughing FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I thought Land Rovers didn't leak - they just mark their territory
