re previous issue that there is a loud clunk and plink through the accelerator pedal when pulling away for the 1st time from cold after about 15 yds ( see posts passim). A Garage has suggested that it could be the automatic hand brake not releasing properly every time ( though they cant replicate themselves annoyingly)
Has anyone heard of this issue ? now that I think about it the noise I hear could be this as it only occurs ( loudly) on certain days and it only occurs when the handbrake has been on. Car is a 2013 dynamique with the electronic handbrake
common or not unheard of issue ? the garage has asked me to record the noise that I am spectacularly failing to do as though it seems loud to me ( on some days) my phones mic doesn't seem sensitive enough to record it

Probable cause of sticking is rust, condensation on the discs, especially if you move a cold car into a warm garage, the film of water dries, rusts and sticks, not really an issue as a drive out will clean them up, even with the brake off, there is very little clearance and rust will bridge the gap.
The 'ping' you here is different, this is the brake system checking itself and happens each time you pull away for the first time after starting, I sometimes notice mine, sometimes not.
