HDC and Terrain response not available

We've had the warning HDC not available followed by Terrain response not available a couple of times in the last week.
Both times it was under more or less the same conditions. First start of the day doing the same maneuver that we do every day.

First time. Start engine, reverse a couple of yards then turn full lock 90 degree right, put in drive and as car starts to move forwards warning comes up. switch off remove fob restart and all ok.

Second time 2 days later, Start engine reverse a couple of yards put on full lock and warning comes up before finishing 90 degree turn, also no throttle response (no battery warning light), finish reverse on tickover, put in drive throttle now works, as before switch off and everything is back to normal.

We did have the lack of throttle with the battery light on a couple of times around 6 months ago. I noticed it was when we set off straight after starting the engine and when the airbag warning light went off the battery light came on and the revs dropped to below the normal tickover, we now wait until all warning lights are off before putting it in gear and not had it happen since.

Is it just reminding us it's an 8yr old Land Rover and would like the extra earth lead fitting or is it warning of a big bill in the near future.

If it were me....!
Tell dealer/garage your problem and that you want to bring it in when problem occurs and for them to plug into SDD straight away!!
When problem happens...... Drive straight to dealer/garage without turning vehicle off, plug immediately into SDD and fault will be logged as either "Current DTC" or "DTC no longer reported" if it's a intermittent fault.
Otherwise your guessing and it may be a simple fix! MY15

First off I would try the extra earth lead all my error messages have gone since fitting mine,I got a really heavy duty one from eBay about £15,it was that thick I just had to cut a bit out of the battery box so the cover went on,this and a new battery was the best thing I ever did for this car.

Taking it straight to the garage could be a problem as it has only happened so far when my wife was setting off for work at 7.45 AM and the garage doesn't open till 9.00 AM.
As it clears on a restart will it have cleared any fault codes or will they still be stored.
I'll try the extra earth lead first and see what it does for now.
