Just as well some have added a heated steering wheel to their Freelander in Western Australia!

To the UK folks, yes it's real. But if that can make you feel any better, I doubt this will stay before the "real" winter comes. We've got warm weather coming in the next few weeks and snow only starts to stick around after November 1st, as a rule of thumb. This will probably turn into a lot of slush, muck and mud Rolling Eyes

Lightwater, neat stuff. I was amazed when some Aussies told me that some parts of Australia actually get snow Shocked ; I would never had imagined!

Cheers to all Thumbs Up

People think Australia is a hot country. Every relative from Germany & England has complained about the cold here! We may not have the high mountains, but we get the winds from the Antarctic & they blow all the way up to Queensland "the sunshine state", west of the Dividing Range. It is that sort of miserable cold to the bone weather!

I spent 6 weeks travelling around NSW, pretty much every morning was 1 to 3 degrees celsius, & this is only a few hundred metres above sea level. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Yep!
If there was a season to have these little buttons, this was the one.......but the "heaty" bits made way for the A/C one this week, it had to happen some time so goodbye heated steering wheel and seats and hello A/C dial!!!!
People forget or are unaware that WA is a desert climate so we have extremes of temperature so my madness of heated steering wheel and seats make a little bit of sense Laughing
We're all a bit concerned it going to go 18 to 40 overnight Big Cry

Scotland

Coming out of a cafe in Kinloch Rannoch this afternoon I was surprised by all this white stuff fluttering down from the sky - it was even begining to lie on the roof of the Land Rover and along the window seals. I thought to myself it was a bit odd as up until then it had been about 15 degrees - which is jolly good for Scotland in October (and sometimes even in July!). But anything is possible under the shelter of Scotland's Faerie Mountain.

So with shirt collar turned up I ventured out - to discover that someone had just lit a wood fire and the falling substance was white ash! Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

Great to see that everyone's enjoying the weather as it comes!

I will be traveling to the UK later this month actually, and will likely try to head north as well and check out some scenic roads in Scotland with a rental (I've never been, but heard really good things). I guess I won't feel out of place with the weather there! Very Happy

Other than that, I should probably swap the summer tires for my Hakkapeliitta's pretty soon Whistle
