Yes, the glory days of heated windscreen in the LR and Fords I have owned is over! Many of you guys have either changed from LR or have additional cars that don't have heated windscreen. As we head into autumn and winter now, I am looking to get a cover to stop the build up on the windscreen but I have heard the sheets with the magnet attachments scratches paint and can't cope with anything above a slight breeze the one's with the ties are a complete faff.

Just spotted this but at under £10 was (allegedly) £89.99, I am skeptical about its quality!

I would suggest the dimensions indicate a large amount of screen still frozen, Alldi flog some reflective screen covers twice a year that have ears that shut in the doors that worked well on OH's Micra CC. You actually don't need to cover the touching, any form of cover between the screen and the sky is sufficient. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Interesting. I'll call in at the local Aldi at some point closer to winter. Cheers LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

We bought an Aldi car cover for the wife's golf. It has elastic bits to go over the wing mirrors and clips on elastic to hook under the boot. Just the job as it covers the top half of the car, so all the glass stays frost free. It was only a few quid too. |

When you remove the cover that is covered in frost and sling it in your boot, isn't it soaking wet the next time you go to use it? Do you have to dry them off completely before you use them again? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I sling it in the garage to be honest! But a good shake gets rid of the frost. |
